Welcome to North and East London SANDS. We are a group of bereaved parents, here to support anyone affected by the death of a baby, and to improve bereavement care.

This group supports bereaved parents and other family members no matter where they are on their journey of loss.

It’s held on the last Tuesday of the month, 7-9 pm

Themes we have covered in the daytime group include:

  • ways to mark your baby’s anniversary
  • bonding with your new baby
  • coping with feelings of guilt

The daytime group meets on the 2nd Tuesday of each month, 10:30 to 12:30 at

The Walter Sickert Community Centre, Canonburt Crescent, off Essex Rd, Islington N1 2FB

Fertility group

This group is an informal meet-up for those who suffered the loss of a baby and are also dealing with fertility problems. (These are held quarterly and information on date and venue can be accessed on our facebook page)

Other events

We also hold other events to help families honour the memory of babies who have died. These include our Wave of Light walks and an annual Christmas service.
